Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a stupid question.

One of the biggest fallacies seems to be the belief that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Oh how I beg to differ…. In the past I have reasoned with my inner voice mumbling dissent by saying the only stupid question is “Am I my brother’s keeper?”  …But really there are not only stupid questions but a lot of them! Please note this is not to be lumped in with the assumption that there are only blithely unaware / unintelligent askers or the lazy love to not know kind of question in efforts to support maintained ignorance…. No, this is in its own perplexing class of questioning that continues to infuriate and boggle.

 Perhaps in the future I should simply answer with the traditional “Bless your heart” and move on ….

Calling Bullshit on Pinterest

OK I will begin this by confessing that I just have spent a lifetime total of about 15 minutes on Pinterest but that in no way takes the wind of validity out of what I am going to blow on about ….  

I have a hard time with Pinterest … I honestly don’t really get the appeal. Does it just create another opportunity for women/mothers to feel like crap about what they aren’t doing or …. honestly I'm at a loss for what could be said next in its defense.  This opinion was brought about by the all too often echoed comment that “nothing ever turns out the way it looks on Pinterest” ….so you can surly see where my doubt resides…. Thoughts?
